terms of service

these terms cover your use of gromitor. they're written plainly, but they're the agreement between you and ogbuilds.

last updated: 10 june 2026

acceptance

by installing the gromitor agent or using the gromitor app, you agree to these terms. if you're using gromitor on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you're authorised to accept these terms for it.

what gromitor is

gromitor is a hosted service that provides real-time, agent-based resource monitoring for docker and kubernetes containers — a live dashboard and threshold alerts, delivered as a lightweight read-only agent plus a url. it is in early access and built in public by ogbuilds, a uk-based studio.

eligibility & accounts

you must be at least 13 to use gromitor. you're responsible for your account, your sign-in credentials, and your ingest token, and for any activity that happens under them. keep your ingest token secret — anyone with it can send metrics to your account. tell us promptly if you believe your credentials or token have been compromised.

acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use gromitor for anything illegal, or to harm others;
  • install the agent on infrastructure you don't own or aren't authorised to monitor;
  • abuse, overload, scrape, probe, or attempt to disrupt the service or its ingestion endpoints;
  • reverse-engineer, resell, or attempt to extract the source of the service except where the law expressly allows;
  • infringe anyone's rights or violate a third party's terms through your use of gromitor.

alert evaluations and the metrics shown are provided to help you operate your systems; review them and use your own judgement before relying on them for critical decisions.

pricing

gromitor is currently free during early access. there is no subscription, payment processor, or billing — if that changes, we'll update these terms and give you notice before any charges apply.

your content & ip

the metrics and metadata your agent sends, and the alert rules you create, remain yours. you grant ogbuilds the licence needed to receive, store, process, and display that data so we can operate the service for you. ogbuilds owns the gromitor software, agent, brand, and the service itself; nothing here transfers that to you.

third-party services

gromitor runs on third-party infrastructure (for example vercel, neon, clerk, and resend) and reads from your container engine (docker or kubernetes). your use of those underlying platforms is subject to their own terms, and we're not responsible for them.

disclaimers

gromitor is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. it's a monitoring aid, not a guarantee — we don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will detect or alert on every condition. don't rely on gromitor as your only safeguard for critical systems.

limitation of liability

to the fullest extent permitted by law, ogbuilds is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data, or business arising from your use of gromitor. because gromitor is currently provided free of charge, our total liability to you is limited to £100. nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

termination

you can stop using gromitor and remove the agent at any time. we may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or to protect the service. on termination, your right to use gromitor ends; the sections that by their nature should survive (such as ip, disclaimers, and liability) continue to apply.

governing law

these terms are governed by the laws of england and wales, and the courts of england and wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

changes

we may update these terms from time to time. we'll change the date above, and your continued use of gromitor after an update means you accept the revised terms.
